Heminoemacheilus is a small genus of stone loaches in family Nemacheilidae, endemic to China. The atlas covers all 3 known species — hyalinus, parva, and zhengbaoshani — small, slender-bodied benthic fish in the 1.5–3 in range, built like other nemacheilid loaches for holding position on the bottom of fast-flowing streams rather than swimming in open water.
Data on this genus are sparse. None of the three species has an established common name or any real presence in the aquarium trade, and all three currently sit as Not Evaluated for conservation status — the genus appears to be of essentially scientific and taxonomic interest rather than hobby interest, known mainly from the ichthyological literature describing China's stone-loach diversity rather than from field studies of its ecology or behavior.
