Labidochromis sp. "Chisumulae Mbweca" "Tumbi Point" is the Tumbi Point population of Labidochromis sp. "Chisumulae Mbweca", a geographic colour form from the Mozambique coast of Lake Malawi in the central part of the lake. It is the same species as Labidochromis sp. "Chisumulae Mbweca", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species
Labidochromis sp. "Chisumulae Mbweca" is an undescribed rock-dwelling cichlid recorded at Tumbi Point on the Mozambican shore of Lake Malawi. It is the trade population field workers refer to as "chisumulae mbweca" — a form closely similar to, and occurring near, the formally described Labidochromis chisumulae, a small blue-and-black mbuna endemic to Chizumulu Island. The two are distinguished chiefly by a single male fin marking; females of the two forms are effectively impossible to tell apart, and "mbweca" has never itself received a formal description.
