About the species

Labidochromis sp. "Lividus Nkhungu" is an undescribed rock-dwelling cichlid recorded from Nkhungu Point on Lake Malawi’s Mozambican shore, a well-documented locality carrying records for numerous other Malawi cichlids. Its trade name pairs “Lividus,” after the described Labidochromis lividus (Lewis, 1982), with its own locality, signalling a resemblance to that species rather than a confirmed identification. It carries no authority, no year, and no FishBase entry.
