Placidochromis sp. "Hennydaviesae V" "South East Arm" is the South East Arm population of Placidochromis sp. "Hennydaviesae V", a geographic colour form from the Malawi coast of Lake Malawi in the southern part of the lake. It is the same species as Placidochromis sp. "Hennydaviesae V", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species

Placidochromis sp. "Hennydaviesae V" is an undescribed haplochromine recorded from the South East Arm of Lake Malawi, one of several numbered field forms collectors track under a trade name built on the described deep-water species Placidochromis hennydaviesae. It has not itself been given a formal scientific name.
