"Longimanus Namiasi", a geographic colour form from the Malawi coast of Lake Malawi in the southern part of the lake. It is the same species as Placidochromis sp. "Longimanus Namiasi", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species

Placidochromis sp. "Longimanus Namiasi" is an undescribed haplochromine recorded from the South East Arm of Lake Malawi, within the broader southern basin where the described weed-bed specialist Placidochromis longimanus occurs. It carries no formal scientific description of its own.
