Sciaenochromis sp. "Torpedo Head" "South East Arm" is the South East Arm population of Sciaenochromis sp. "Torpedo Head", a geographic colour form from the Malawi coast of Lake Malawi in the southern part of the lake. It is the same species as Sciaenochromis sp. "Torpedo Head", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species
Sciaenochromis sp. "Torpedo Head" is an undescribed predatory cichlid recorded from the South East Arm of Lake Malawi, named for a more streamlined, pointed head profile than the genus's typical form and listed among Sciaenochromis's recognised undescribed populations by the Cichlid Room Companion. It belongs to the same small genus as the widely traded electric-blue S. fryeri, but no authority, formal description, colour account or conservation status has been published for it.
