Coverage is honest and uneven: 2024–2025 come from the Catalog of Fishes’ own monthly change summaries (preserved by the Internet Archive); 2021–2023 descriptions come from Shoal’s annual New Species reports, each name verified against the live Catalog of Fishes before listing; name changes cannot be reconstructed before December 2023, and 2020 has no recoverable source at all. Marine-only species are not listed.
