Kalambo Falls is a site on the Kalambo River, about 5 km north-east of Kalambo (Toby's) Lodge, near Lake Tanganyika.
The water
This collection point is on the Kalambo River, outside Lake Tanganyika. The lake's chemistry does not describe the river here, and the atlas holds no cited measurements of its water.
The site
Captions describe Kalambo Falls as one of Africa's tallest waterfalls, dropping 250 metres down the Rift Valley Escarpment. Both photographs were taken from the Tanzanian side, and the captions state that the Kalambo River forms the border between Tanzania and Zambia at this point.
