Labidochromis sp. "Caeruleus Jalo" "Jalo Reef" is the Jalo Reef population of Labidochromis sp. "Caeruleus Jalo", a geographic colour form from the Malawi coast of Lake Malawi in the south-central part of the lake. It is the same species as Labidochromis sp. "Caeruleus Jalo", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species
Labidochromis sp. "Caeruleus Jalo" is an undescribed rock-dwelling cichlid recorded at Jalo Reef on the Malawian shore of Lake Malawi. Its trade name places it within the highly variable Labidochromis caeruleus colour complex — the species whose Lion's Cove population became the hobby's famous "electric yellow" — without asserting that this Jalo Reef population is that yellow morph or has been formally confirmed as Labidochromis caeruleus at all.
