Mylochromis sp. "Torpedo Elongate" "Senga Bay" is the Senga Bay population of Mylochromis sp. "Torpedo Elongate", a geographic colour form from the Malawi coast of Lake Malawi in the southern part of the lake. It is the same species as Mylochromis sp. "Torpedo Elongate", distinguished by its collection locality and local coloration; aquarists keep and breed it as a discrete, provenance-labelled line.

About the species
Mylochromis sp. "Torpedo Elongate" is an undescribed haplochromine cichlid recorded from Senga Bay, on the central-western shore of Lake Malawi, named for a markedly elongate, torpedo-shaped body that sets it apart from the deeper-bodied members of the genus. Several Mylochromis species carry this elongate build, associated with a more active, ambush-style hunting mode than the deep-bodied sand-sifting and shell-crushing specialists. It has no formal description, no describing author, and no FishBase entry.
