Taxonomy & naming
This is an undescribed form: no scientific name, authority or type material stands behind it, and its identity and range are not documented in the sources the atlas uses. CW009 is a Corydoras World code. Imperial Tropicals says the form was previously classified as Corydoras sp. CW009 and is now listed under Osteogaster, the lineage that holds many former Corydoras after the 2024 revision. It compares the fish to the gold laser Osteogaster, sp. CW010, and says the difference is a green stripe in place of a gold one. Aqua Haus Gaus sells it as Corydoras sp. "Green Laser".
Morphology
Imperial Tropicals describes a bright green stripe beginning at the shoulder and yellow fins.
Habitat
Imperial Tropicals calls it a Peruvian native. No collection locality or habitat measurements are recorded.
Feeding
Corydoradines are bottom-feeding omnivores that sift sand with their barbels (genus-level); no diet is documented for this form.
Mating
Like other corydoradines, the group spawns in the T-position, the female carrying eggs in her pelvic fins before sticking them to a surface. Spawning of this form is not documented.
Breeding
Dan's Fish sells it as aquarium bred and raised. The atlas holds no spawning details.
In the aquarium
Dan's Fish lists shipped fish at 1 to 1.75 inches (about 1–2 in) and an adult size of around 2 to 2.5 inches (about 2–2.5 in), and says most corydoradines are peaceful community fish. Like other corydoradines, they do best on sand they can sift, and in a group. These size figures are the seller's.
Conservation
No IUCN assessment exists for this undescribed form. Its range and numbers are not documented, so its conservation status cannot be stated.
