Ngkuyo Island, also known as Mbamba Island, is an island off the Tanzanian shore, about 1 km east-south-east of Mara (Ngkuyo) Reef.

The site
Site photographs record the boat Poseidon Pioneer, built at a fish station on Lake Tanganyika and transported overland to Lake Malawi in 1994, photographed in 1997 at a small cove on the island's western side.
Each entry below is the population of that species recorded here — the form aquarists keep and breed as a distinct, provenance-labelled line. Crossing forms from different collection points is considered hybridisation in the hobby.
