Taxonomy & naming
Otopharynx sp. "Torpedo Blue" is a hobby label for an undescribed Lake Malawi haplochromine. The hobby has also filed it as Mylochromis sp. "Torpedo Blue". It is a different form from the indexed Otopharynx "Silver Torpedo". The form is undescribed, and its identity and range are not documented in the sources behind the atlas.
Morphology
No description of colour or pattern is recorded beyond the label. Garnelio lists adults at 2.5–3 in and calls the form very rare; this is the seller's figure.
Habitat
Garnelio gives the east coast of Lake Malawi, from Narungu to Ntekete. Genus-level: Otopharynx are Lake Malawi haplochromines of sandy and mixed shores.

In the aquarium
Aqua Haus Gaus and Garnelio sell the form as a rare import. No care data are recorded for it. Genus-typical care applies: a tank with open sand, hard alkaline water, and other Malawi haplochromines as tankmates.
