The site
Captions describe craggy, rocky ledges along the bay's northern side, where three small rivers — the Lyasinda, Senge and Isoka — reach the lake.
The site is also noted as one of several southern-Tanzanian locations where Julidochromis sp. "Transcriptus Tanzania" occurs alongside a second, J. regani-like or J. marlieri-like species.
