Feeding
Otopharynx species span a range of feeding strategies, from open-water zooplankton feeders to more benthic invertivores. Otopharynx species are generally less aggressive than rock-dwelling mbuna and are usually kept successfully alongside other calm, similarly sized Malawi haplochromines.
