The Orinoco drainage and the other northern-South-American basins draining to the Caribbean: the Llanos, the Guiana-shield tributaries (Ventuari, Inírida, Atabapo, Guaviare), Lake Maracaibo–Catatumbo, and the trans-Andean Magdalena–Cauca and Atrato–Sinú of Colombia; plus Trinidad, whose fauna is Orinocan. Placement is by FEOW ecoregion within Venezuela, Colombia and Trinidad.
